Thank you to everyone who came to the launch of our spring exhibition and made it such a great success. Visiting artist Marla Allison gave a fascinating talk and loved her time here in the UK. If you are Bristol based you may have spotted one of Cara Romero's extraordinary photographs on the front cover of the The Bristol Magazine in April."It is the mothers not the warriors, who create a people and guide their destiny." Luther Standing BearThe beautiful image above is by Cherokee artist Shan Goshorn. The words of Luther Standing Bear create the backdrop for a photo portrait featuring a young Indian woman (Jasha), carrying the most precious cultural legacy. This image sends a literal message - one about her gestation of a cherished gift - but also metaphorically, that Indigenous people have a responsibility to nurture and keep their cultures alive.

After several months in the pipeline I am delighted to announce that our beautiful new website is now live and kicking! We have expanded the artists section which will continue to grow as we welcome more artists to the fold. New Pendleton blankets

It is always exciting to see the new blanket designs produced by Pendleton Woollen Mills each year.
