'High Plains Beautiful: Sunrise' mixed media by Tony Tiger
Horsepower
When plans go awry, beautiful things can happen. Our promised summer exhibition has had to be re-scheduled for a future date but magically into the gallery gallops a whole new show! Our new summer exhibition brings together paintings and photography by seven accomplished Indigenous artists from eleven tribal nations. HORSEPOWER celebrates the enduring relationship between horses and humans.
This exhibition invites us to slow down and visualise a world without cars. It hopes to stimulate a conversation about modes of transportation. Should technological innovation play only a small part in our sustainable future? Ultimately, Horsepower asks us why we are in such a hurry. What might we gain by observing other species and re-evaluating our aspirations in greater alignment with nature?
