Painter From The Desert

Our glorious summer exhibition 'Marla Allison: Painter from the desert' is in perfect harmony with this current heatwave. Marla's observations on British life are juxtaposed with scenes from her arid homelands. Find out what a desert-dwelling Native American made of lush Bristol, rural Wales and Her Majesty the Queen! The exhibition also includes an exquisite range of contemporary jewellery made by celebrated metalsmith Pat Priutt (Chiricahua Apache & Laguna Pueblo) in collaboration with Marla Allison. The show runs until Saturday August 11th. Don't miss it!During her artist residency in Bristol, Marla Allison was interviewed by Journalist Stephanie Boxall. Saturday August 11th will be the last chance to see our summer exhibition and also the last chance to visit Rainmaker Gallery until September. Every year we close in mid-August to make a trip back to 'Indian Country' and connect with all our wonderful artists, jewellers and carvers.
