We are delighted to welcome artist Marla Allison back to Bristol with an

exhibition

of new acrylic paintings on canvas. A celebrated painter from the Laguna Pueblo tribe, Marla was the artist in residence here for a month in the summer of 2018 when we presented her superb solo exhibition "

Painter From The Desert

'. Five years on, the world is a very different place and we look forward to hearing how things have changed for Marla.

Book now to hear marvellous Marla Allison in conversation with gallery curator Jo Prince. Learn about her global experiences and the inspirations behind her distinctive paintings. Find out about her ground-breaking maternal aunt, the United States Cabinet Secretary of the Interior, Deb Haaland the first Indigenous Cabinet Secretary in the history of the USA.This event will take place in the gallery, followed by a Q&A and a celebration with the artist.Talk with Q&A 4pm - 5pm (£10)Exhibition opening 5pm - 7pm (free)Please arrive for the talk at 3.45pm so that the event can begin on time. There is a cost of £10 per person to attend this talk.To book email [email protected], drop in or call the gallery on 0117 973 0398.
