Spring exhibition 2022
I am delighted to mark the first day of spring by announcing our new exhibition. This will be the very last show in our current gallery home. The artworks are chosen for their joyful colours, in celebration of the happy times we have spent here on Coldharbour Road throughout the last sixteen years.
This spring exhibition brings together the work of several artist, some new and some familiar. It includes Cara Romero’s photographic portrait ‘WAKEAH’ which is also in the collection of
NY. There are acrylic paintings by George Alexander (Muscogee), Marla Allison (Laguna), Nocona Burgess (Comanche) and Myron Denetclaw (Diné), oil paintings by Mateo Romero (Cochiti) and Del Curfman (Crow), and works on paper by Monty Little (Diné), Philip Vigil (Jemez) and Debra Yepa-Pappan (Jemez Pueblo & Korean).

Mountain Way Ceremony
Our new spring exhibition features two exquisite paintings of male and female Mountain Way Feather Dancers by Diné artist Myron Denetclaw. The dancers hold eagle feathers in their hands and wear traditional jewellery and moccasins. The Navajo / Diné Mountain Way ceremony is a traditional nine day healing ritual which takes place at the end of winter. The dances, including the Feather Dance, take place at night. The purpose of the ceremony is in large part to restore balance and harmony between people and nature.Wishing you all balance and harmony on this beautiful spring day.with love,Jo x
