Our wondrous spring exhibition MOKO PUNA by Te Rangitu Netana ends on April 26th. After this date the show will be viewable by appointment only for one more week. To arrange a viewing email [email protected] or call the gallery on 0117 973 0398.

MOKO PUNA (grandchild) is a series of original works on paper by world-renowned Maori Tā Moko tattoo artist Te Rangitu Netana. His imagery speaks of Māori stories and lineage through a rich mix of traditional pattern with more contemporary colours and forms. In these paintings and prints Netana expands his artistry from ink on skin into different creative mediums.

Te Rangitu Netana was recently commissioned by the national airline of New Zealand to design textile prints for their new uniforms, with the big reveal happening earlier this month. Click on this video link to find out more: Air New Zealand and see the uniforms here.

Limited Edition Prints & more

There are some delightful new editions to the online gallery including two new limited edition prints by both Te Rangitu Netana and one by Rick Grimster. Also, a delicious selection of traditional turquoise slab earrings by the lovely Jennifer Medina. Enjoy!

Save the dates!

Next month we welcome back multi-disciplinary artist Addison Karl (Choctaw & Chickasaw). This time, in addition to his exquisite bronze sculptures, we will be introducing his amazing paintings and ink drawings to the gallery. The exhibition 'Summer Rain' begins with a show of his latest works on canvas and paper. Later, in June, we will add to the exhibition with a selection of magnificent pictorial quilts and smaller works on paper by Mvskoke textile artist Melinda Schwakhofer.
