'TINNÁA Copper Form'  limited edition serigraph by Peston Singletary, Tlingit.

WINTER 2021-2022

We are delighted to announce our new winter show. This exhibition features Pacific Northwest Coast formline serigraphs from Preston Singletary, meticulous acrylic paintings by Marla Allison and Jasmine Coe, minimalist serigraphs by Jordan Ann Craig, fine art photographic portraiture from Cara Romero, a digital composite photographic print by Shan Goshorn, mercurial tintype portraits by Kali Spitzer and Will Wilson, sepia figurative landscapes by Zoe Mariah Urness and a silver halide print by Eugene Tapahe. Each work of art has been selected for a seasonal palette of red, orange, black and white.

Good things for the festive season....

With the global news hanging over us like a dark cloud I thought I would brighten the day by sharing with you some small items of exquisite beauty. All pieces are made with love and great skill by the Indigenous artists that we are so honoured to represent.

Above is a fabulous fluted pendant expertly crafted from tarnish resistant argentium silver by Chris Pruitt. Also from Chris we have a selection of gorgeous repoussé raindrop earrings. Simple, clean and classic they come as a double drop or as single raindrop studs in either satin finish or polished.

The enchanting hummingbirds are intricately carved from antler by one of our favourite Zuni carvers, Destry Suitza. Destry is known for his extraordinarily fine detail as seen here in the feathers of the hummingbird and the flowers inlaid with turquoise. This has to be one of my all time favourite Zuni fetish carvings. A true work of art. Also from Zuni this magnificent Warrior Woman is hand carved from deer antler and embellished with turquoise and coral by the talented Claudia Peña.

More good things for the festive season...

Following the recent arrival of new earrings by master metalsmith Pat Pruitt, we have delightful dragonflies and single double or triple feather earrings in stock. The feathers come in smart and sophisticated oxidised zirconium or glorious colour combinations of laser anodised titanium. I love the green tones the best. Pat tells me that green is the most difficult colour to achieve but so worth it!

The lovely owl and endearing bear are chosen from a fabulous range of

available in the gallery or from the website. I will be adding new carvings and

everyday from now until Christmas so do keep checking back to see what's new.

For anyone in need of a hug I recommend one of our of finely woven

from Pendleton Woollen Mills.

Giving Tuesday

Today, the first Tuesday after 'Thanksgiving' has become known as 'Giving Tuesday' the day when people donate to causes close to their hearts. I know that you care about Indigenous representation, arts and culture and you want to see Native art continue to be exhibited here in the UK.
